Shannon’s book launch for Traveling with Ghosts was at Bookshop Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017. Thanks so much to Bookshop Santa Cruz for hosting and thank you to the fantastic crowd that turned out despite the rain and closed highways, supported a great independent bookstore, and asked wonderful questions!
The UK Traveling with Ghosts book launch was in Tooting, London on Friday, March 3rd at The Antelope. Thanks so much to Emily Smith for hosting! And to Caragh Berry, Veronique Musson, Monika Vida Girbicz for helping with balloons, cakes, and organization. It was such a wonderful turn-out and so much fun.
Traveling with Ghosts book club, interview, Q&A, and book signing at HMP Thameside was on April 29th, 2017. There were fascinating, thoughtful questions and a lively discussion. Shannon returned a few weeks later to discuss writing and publishing with the group, and will certainly be back again!
Despite the rain, a great crowd turned out at Clapham Books on May 18th. There was a reading, wine, and thought-provoking questions. Thank you so much to Clapham Books for hosting, and to everyone who turned out amidst the downpour in true London spirit.
Barnes and Noble Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA hosted a Traveling with Ghosts reading, Q&A, and book signing on August 3rd. Thanks for hosting, and to the lovely readers who came to listen and ask questions!
Book Passage’s Annual Travel Writers & Photographers Conference hosted Shannon and Karen Joy Fowler for an evening discussion with Don George from Lonely Planet at their Corte Madera, CA store on August 10th. Thanks to everyone at Book Passage – it was an amazing night, with a packed house and an emotional discussion, followed by thoughtful questions.
And The Avid Reader in Davis, CA organized a wonderful reading, Q&A, and book signing on August 18th. A fantastic turn-out, including many dear people from Shannon’s childhood, with a fascinating discussion after the reading. Thanks so much to everyone at The Avid Reader!
